A Mission of Creativity and Learning
The Children’s Museum of the Low Country (CML) is a non-profit organization that aims to offer creative learning for children through interactive exhibits and experiences that encourage kids to explore their own imagination and curiosity. With several components to the Lowcountry Children’s Museum, families can spend hours exploring and learning, and the kids are probably going to be thoroughly entertained and engaged the entire time—and they are likely to leave with a few new things they’ve learned under their belt, and a broader understanding of scientific and artistic ideas!
Exhibits to Broaden the Imagination and Inspire Artistic Ideas
Out of all the exhibits at the CML, the star of the show is the Art Room, where splashes of color are the norm and creativity soars. Kids can create sculptures out of recyclables or play around with spatter paint—there is a smock available for your little one, but dress carefully just in case! The Kids’ Garden offers children an opportunity to use all five of their senses and learn about the environment, while the popular low country Pirate Ship gives kids a chance to step into an imaginary pirate world and learn real life skills like tying knots!
