Things to Do in Isle of Palms

Things to Do Near Isle of Palms
While you can certainly spend all your time on the island, there are plenty of attractions nearby. Downtown historic Charleston is just 13 miles away and is certainly worth a visit. Plan a day trip so you can explore The Market, Drayton Hall, Rainbow Row, and the Battery at your leisure, with plenty of time for eating in world-famous cutting-edge restaurants.
Take another day trip to adjacent Sullivan’s Island, just across Breach Inlet Bridge, for a trip back in time at historic Fort Moultrie and Fort Sumter. Visit the spot where all that trouble known as the War Between the States began in 1861. Don’t forget to visit the iconic Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse while you’re there.
