#1 Top City in the U.S.

More great news! Charleston has just been named the #1 Top City in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler for 2011!!!

We have been #2 for many years and have finally earned the #1 spot by overcoming San Francisco! Emmy Award-winning comedy writer and Charlestonian Stephen Colbert spoke very highly of Charleston in saying, “I've been all over the world and Charleston is the most beautiful city I've ever seen.” We all feel very honored and privileged to receive this award; we couldn't be more proud of our city and its "southern charm."
